Steel

Our steel products range from an 18 gauge to 30 gauge thickness. We carry 18 gauge – 30 gauge hot dip galvanized steel (ASTM A924/A653), and also an 18 gauge – 24 gauge Satin Coat that is ideal for welding or home craft applications as it is paintable. We also carry a 26 gauge galvalume steel (ASTM A792/792M) that has a stainless steel look to it as opposed to a galvanized steel look, and is thereby preferred by those who favor a modern approach to their projects. Also, we carry 26 gauge – 30 gauge SMP (silicone-modified polyester) pre-painted steel from multiple vendors such as Cascadia and Makin’ Metals. There are over 30 popular colors to choose from so this steel is ideal for home applications including fascia, drip cap, roof edge, and more.

Aluminum

Hat Metal Mart also supplies a 29 gauge, pre-painted, aluminum capping coil. Our coil comes in 2’x100’ rolls, so you can either take the whole roll or we can cut flat stock for you at whatever length you prefer. This aluminum is also ideal for home flashings as it is light and yet durable, and we can either keep it smooth for you or add a textured woodgrain finish to it. We stock over 45 popular colors from multiple vendors including Royal, Gentek, and Wayne Building Supplies. This is the preferred material for home contractors as we can almost always color match! We also carry a heavier gauge 0.040 aluminum in either white or plain which includes a protective PVC skin. The 0.040 is ideal for auto body application and repair.

Cladding

We also provide cladding for your roofing and siding needs. This is a high tensile steel available in a variety of profiles including Tough Rib, Rainbow Rib, and Snap-Lok. Also provided is a Polycarbonate ToughRib. Manufactured directly at the Westman Steel Plant in Swift Current, we can guarantee high quality and an available profile to suit either exterior or interior applications, whether you are looking for utility or a more modern approach.

Closures

To go underneath our metal cladding, we provide both large and small closures. They come in a variety of profiles and provide moisture protection and pest control. Vented closures are also available in ToughRib/936, AWR, and Snap-Lok. We also have 50’ universal foam closure rolls.

Not only do we supply metal but we also provide all the fasteners to go with it! Specifically, we carry pre-painted and galvanized #8 standard screws, #10 mini drill screws, #12 stitch screws (self-tappers), and #14 wood grip screws. We also carry a superior caulking product, Mulco Supra-Expert Thermoplastic Sealant, which gets rave reviews for its durability and adhesion. This sealant is available in over 50 colors.
